Inspired by the life of Amy Gillett, the foundastion was formed to reduce the incedence of death and injury caused by interaction between cyclists and motorists.

This federation aims to collect and provide funds for all levels of Western Australian cyclists so that they could prepare for and compete in National or International cycling competitions, giving them the chance to achieve the levels attained by Henk Vogels.

The Golden Spokes Charity Rides are held in country surroundings over a flat closed road circuit centred around the Champion lakes Regatta Centre, near Kelmscott. It promises to be a great day for a great cause- CASM: Citizens Advocacy South metropolitan, working for the rights and interests of people with a disability in our community
