BWA is keen to support charity rides. For the riders doing the miles and hours of training to complete a charity ride, you should consider BWA membership which covers you 24/7 for insurance. Charity rides are a great way to get fit, healthy and give back to the community. So why not get involved in one!
Ride for Youth - supporting Youth Focus
The Hawaiian Ride for Youth is held annually during March/April each year. The Ride is held over 5 days and travels from Albany to Fremantle covering approximately 700km. The cyclists ride through the regional towns of Albany, Denmark, Walpole, Pemberton, Margaret River, Busselton and Bunbury and finish in the City of Fremantle.
The prime objectives of the Hawaiian Ride for Youth are:
- to raise funds for Youth Focus
- to raise awareness of the issues concerning youth suicide, depression and self-harm
- to raise awareness of the services provided by Youth Focus

Turkey to Portugal, 6,000km, in aid of Youth Focus
A member of Bicycling Western Australia and two friends will be cycling across Europe starting June 7th 2011. They plan to take 3 – 3.5 months to complete the trip whilst passing through 11 countries.They are using the trip to raise money for Youth Focus.

Amy Gillett Foundation
Inspired by the life of Amy Gillett, the foundation was formed to reduce the incedence of death and injury caused by interaction between cyclists and motorists.
