Team Leaders
About this page
This section contains some information to assist team leaders new and old!
This year we have added some exciting new courses to some old favourites. The event format will run similar to last year’s series with teams of 4-9 participating in the A, B, or C grade courses, followed by a lunch.
On Wednesday March 17 we held a team leaders meeting. Below is some information from the evening for those who were unable to make it.
Some of the important points which came out of the meeting are noted below
- Indicators are that the demand for the series will be very high this year
- Due to venue and Traffic Management we will be placing a cap on the number of riders per event. This will be on a fist come, first serve basis.
- Close off to registrations will be the Tuesday before the event - NO late entries will be accepted.
- Entry Fees will be $50 for members and $65 for Friends and Non-members. Plese note that you will only be comered by insurance if you are a member of BWA (or Cyclo Sportif) or have your own insurance from another means.
- Arrange a place to meet as a team on the day - stick a tall flag in the ground or meet at a certain corner
Experienced Team Leaders Cameron Burg and Lindsay Davies-Moore also spoke. They emphasised the importance of getting your team and team mates to commit for the series (subject to illness, injury etc.) They said that they found it useful having a core committed team with other riders available to fill in when needed. Their notes will be available soon.
