The Margaret River Community Challenge sponsored by Central Systems will take place on Saturday, 10 March 2012. Teams of 2 - 5 riders will set off to complete the 25km, 60km and 110km course to the best of their ability.

Start Time: 10.30am

Location: Xanadu Restaurant and Winery, Boodjidup Road, Margaret River

Distance from Perth: 270km (3 hours)

Ride Distances: A - 110 km, B – 60 km, C - 25 km (approx distances)

Timing Cut-off: 2.30pm approx.

Lunch: from 12.45pm onwards

Presentations: 2.30pm approx.

Teams: Teams will be made up of 2 - 5 participants

Cost: Members - $65.00
Non-Members - $85.00
Australia’s South West residents - $65.00 (this will be matched with postcode)
Juniors  - $42.50

Additional meals - $18.00

Please note: when registering, please identify if you are vegetarian in the meal box as these are set lunches not buffet.

THE VENUE

The Venue & Registration area will be located at Xanadu Winery on Boodjidup Road, Margaret River. Xanadu is ideally positioned on the route and their meandering driveway will make for a relaxing controlled start. Ample parking is available and traffic marshals will direct participants on the day.

As always, our event will be followed by lunch and presentations – these will be held in Xanadu’s main courtyard. Lunch will be provided by Xanadu with vegetarian options available on request at registration.

THE COURSE & START/FINISH

The Rider Assembly area and Start Line for all categories will be in the rear car park area within Xanadu. After a controlled start along the 2km driveway at Xanady participants with cross the timing band at the mouth of the driveway before turning onto Boodjidup Road. The course for all distances is essentially flat with some rolling undulations. There is one short sharp climb on Boodjidup Road which all participants will navigate once.

The Finish Line for all Rides will be in the mouth of the Xanadu driveway. All roads are considered to be in good condition.
