About this page

BWA is committed to representing the interests of all West Australian bike riders.

We will work to campaign Government on issues relevant to the community, improving infrastructure and facilities to better your bike riding experience.

Please contact us directly, should you wish to bring an issue to our attention.

1. Progress report - May 2010
BWA Vice president Ian Sandover is heavily involved in the talks with Government departments, Local Councils and Non-Government organisations.

2. Report released - Developing a Community of Cycling in WA (July 2010)
Commonly known as "The Brown Report", the Developing a Community of Cycling in WA has now been released for general comment. BWA played a significant role in bringing about this report as we recognised that there was a need for greater coordination across all aspects of riding (sport, transport and recreation).

3. BWA Contribute to the State Governments Strategic Energy Initiative (July 2010)
BWA President, Paul Fiddes, was invited to attend a conference in Perth on the 30th June 2010 to contribute to the State Governments Strategic Energy Initiative.

4. BWA and the City of Perth Cycle Plan
BWA is working with the City of Perth as it develops a Cycle Plan for the City to support the thousands of cyclists in the City at present and encourage others to take up cycling.
