Claremont have bike plans in their future
The Claremont council will be undertaking a review of their current bike plan with the aim of making the Town of Claremont a more bike-friendly area. In the pipe line are projects such as improving the paths around Lake Claremont to make it more friendly to cyclists and pedestrians.
They also are looking to move the cycle path on Shenton Road, near the Claremont Football Oval, closer to the railway line. This should link it in with the current Perth to Freemantle path and reduce the amount of stops and swerves riders are currently having to do.

Little Creatures
Little Creatures Brewery has been inspired by the bike culture in Paris and Copenhagen and are now providing FREE bikes for customers in Fremantle.
Miles Hull, from Little Creatures, says, “Customers, tourists, staff, anyone can come in and grab a bike for free for sightseeing, shopping, going to meetings, whatever … We take care of the bikes; they are stored here inside the bar and are frequently serviced. Often all 10 bikes are out and then back by nightfall when their riders end their day with a drink at our bar."
Main Roads
"Main Roads did a fantastic job of cleaning out the tunnel on the cycleway adjacent to the freeway. it was an absolute mess having had seat high water in it the day before and was full of branches and other debris. Great one guys!"
