Governance of Bicycling Western Australia is overseen by an elected Board with day-to-day management delegated to a small dedicated team.

ADVISORY GROUPS

ADVOCACY AND CAMPAIGNING ADVISORY GROUPS (ACAG)

This group assists the Board in identifying advocacy, policy development, campaigning and educational opportunities in line with BWA’s Mission and assists the Board and management in the development strategies, policies and implementation plans.

The ACAG’s overall role is to report to the Board and provide appropriate advice and recommendations on advocacy and campaigning matters.

EVENTS ADVISORY GROUP (EAG)

This group assists with the development a portfolio of successful events including identification of potential new events for evaluation and development in line with the Strategic Plan.  The EAG’s overall role is to report to the Board and provide appropriate advice and recommendations on events in order to facilitate decision making by the Board.

MEMBERSHIP AND MARKETING ADVISORY GROUP (MMAG)

This group assists the Board to execute strategies that grow the organisation’s membership, funding base, capacity and profile.  The MMAG’s overall role is to report to the Board and provide appropriate advice and recommendations on matters relevant to the Strategic Plan.

AUDIT AND RISK SUB-COMMITTEE (A&R)

This sub-committee assists the Board to carry out its corporate governance and oversight responsibilities in relation to financial reporting, internal control systems, risk management systems and the external audit functions.

The overall role is to report to the Board and provide appropriate advice and recommendations on matters relevant to its Constitution in order to facilitate decision making by the Board.
