While cycling is often still considered a male dominated industry, they exist to provide a platform for women to participate in cycling in whatever capacity they choose; be it for leisure, fitness, commuting, endurance or competing.

Their group of coaches, trainers and participants is made up of determined women who all have their own individual goals on and off the bike.  Their training philosophy is all about empowering each cyclist to reach her goal and ride with more confidence, skill and efficiency. A personal goal can be as varying as the weather report on the day of an outdoor event including improving efficiency and technique on the bike; fitness and/or weight loss targets;joining new social networks or having sights set on the next race or endurance ride.

Group Training

Their weekly group training schedule includes women’s only sessions and mixed group training open to women of varying ability.

Training Programs

Whether training for a specific goal or purpose, training programs delivered online with one of their experienced coaches can be structured to suit your lifestyle and reach your desired outcome.

Introductory programs

They regularly deliver programs for women new to riding throughout the year. Most importantly, they try to create an environment that is welcoming for all women regardless of their level of ability, fitness and style of bike. They aim to provide resources about riding in Perth so that more women have the information and confidence to ride more often.

Liv Ride Perth

Every month the women’s program organises a women’s only social ride open to all women in Perth and catering to women of all levels.  The ride takes place on the first Sunday of each month.  The ride leaves from the Raffles Hotel (Canning Bridge) at 6.30am in summer or 7.00am in winter.

Girls on Bikes

The Girls on Bikes program is an education program for young girls in primary school where their younger riders and experienced coaches teach basic bike handling and skill with the aim of getting more children active and on bikes.
