Winners Sports Nutrition is proud to be the Official Energy Bar & Gel supplier of the 2018 Dams Challenge.  Winners energy products have been developed specifically for cyclists and are used and recommended by cycling champion Cadel Evans.  Nutrition plays a vital role for extended rides – Winners will be providing a mix of their energy bars, gels and chews throughout the ride.

Eating while on the bike

Most endurance trained athletes can only sustain high-end exercise for approximately an hour. After this the body becomes increasingly dependent on blood sugar levels to sustain high-end activity.  When training, it is a good habit to start eating and drinking during rides.

Hydration

Proper fluid intake is essential to performance and recovery in exercise, especially in endurance events or prolonged training. Adequate fluid intake and hydration must be addressed as an integral part of your training, good habits must be employed far ahead of competition.
